Why I do what I do

I believe well-designed products can genuinely improve people’s lives. When digital experiences are intuitive and thoughtful, they reduce friction, build trust, and give people more time and energy for what actually matters. That impact—seeing complexity transformed into something simple and helpful—is what motivates me to keep pushing the craft of UX forward.

I’m especially drawn to environments where the stakes are real: healthcare, financial services, ecommerce, and non-profits. In these spaces, design decisions can influence someone’s access to care, their financial confidence, their ability to support their family, or their capacity to give back to their community. Helping organizations in these industries create clearer, kinder, more effective experiences feels like meaningful work, not just a series of projects.

I also care deeply about the people doing the work. Leading and growing high-performing teams is where I find the most purpose. I love coaching designers, building healthy collaboration with product and engineering, and creating space for diverse perspectives to shape better outcomes. When a team feels empowered, aligned, and proud of what they’ve built, the end result is almost always a product that better serves both the business and its customers—and that’s why I keep doing what I do.
